Note

Map lists are HUGE. A lot of days were spent sorting files, creating categories and filling in all the information in the right places. So there can be typos, missing maps, links, credits and false information. If you find any, please let us know: GitHub Issues / Discord.

Ola! I adore Killing Floor 1 story maps and greatly respect all the work, time that their authors put into their creations. So I aimed to create a place where everyone can easily find, compare, download and install any map in a few clicks. Enjoy.

  • Maps are categorized by gametypes (map prefixes).
  • Most useful, not broken maps are on top of the list. Yeah I sorted them by my taste, v52.
  • All archives have redirect (*.uz2) files in them. Don’t thank me.
  • All archives are made by 7zip with following settings:

This allow archives to be opened in windows explorer. I could go for *.rar or *.7z instead, but size savings are not that significant, and end users must have 3rd party apps to open them. So not worth it imo.

  • All list entries follow the same format:
    • Title: map name.
    • Authors: one or more, with links to user accounts (if there are any).
    • Map filename: with prefix ofc.
    • Links: starting from DL then Workshop, Forum, ModDb, Site (if there are any).
    • Notes: a special section for greylisted maps or when I need to warn you about game breaking stuff / CustomSpawnFix.
    • Clickable screenshots: to easily recognize the maps. Except some old, exported JPG’s, these are TinyPNG optimized PNG’s.

Giger’s creatures came to have some fun in KF. Recommended to play on medium game difficulties and full team.

Doom I / II Mod

A mod for Doom 1 and 2 weapons to Killing floor (which is based on the one for UT2004 which again is based on one for Unreal 1). In total it contains all monsters and weapons (and couple of items) from the classic Doom. © Marco

It comes with 2 mutators:

  1. Replace KF monsters with Doom monsters.
  2. Replace KF weapons with Doom weapons (initial weapons and shop weapons).

Note

Performance can suffer if you blow up too many tiles. This was WIP project, don’t expect too much polish.

Both teams spawn with M79 grenade launchers and must blow up the opposing team’s building floor by floor. Respawns are infinite, but each time a floor is destroyed you will spawn on the next available floor down. Official deathmatch by TWI, very similar to Battlefield’s gun master mode - every kill instantly gets you the next weapon in the list. Be the first player to get a kill with every weapon on the list to win!

  • Set min and max player counts from cmdline.
  • Set your weapon lists in config file.
  • Use admin addbots <desired_number> command to add bots. They are fun, so try em.

Maps are pretty old, much older than official Objective mode. So prepare for many bugs.

Note

If you see invisible zeds you know what to do -> CustomSpawnFix.

Most of these maps modify spawns, inventory and god knows what else. So try to use only crucial mutators, else crash possibility will be very high.

All power leveling and broken maps are ignored. I’m not sorry.

These kind of maps allow you to easily train against any zed you want, let it be a Scrake, double Fleshpounds, Patriarch, etc. Or try different weapon combos. This greatly saves your time and allows not to waste 1000h in pubs to understand how basic stuff works in game.

Important

If you are a server owner, double check if you are distributing Karma files with Music downloader (check this detailed setup guide). Or ask your clients to manually install them, else they will 100% crash in few minutes.

Note

Original version is bugged and unbalanced to hell. Install EITHER the Fix V3 OR the Fix V4 on top of it, save your nerves.

In a free, add-on mod for Killing Floor, created by David Hensley (with help from Killing Floor originator, Alex Quick), you can fight off the bizarre and warped toys of someone’s nightmare, that are hell-bent on finishing you off. All the standard Zeds are replaced with evil toys, set in the Devil’s Dollhouse map ©

Note

Always keep CustomSpawnFix around, it will help greatly if you have invisible zeds. Thanks Tripwire for renaming zed classes in latest patches and breaking old story maps.

Important

Use NetReduce and NetReduceSE at your risk. With them you will get broken spawns, missing pickups-keys-switches and other random bugs.

Map Voting Setup

To make some of the older objective maps (mostly from Story mode) work, we have to use CustomSpawnFix. Following instructions will help you to configure your server to use that mutator only on the maps that actually require it.

If you don’t have MapVoteFix v2 for some strange reason:

  • Install it.
  • Play for a few games so MapVoteHistory.ini will be created.

If you have it:

  • Add all your maps to map list using one of the methods.
    • WebAdmin -> Defaults tab -> Maps.
    • In killingfloor.ini fill both Maps and DefaultMaps sections.
  • Open MapVoteHistory.ini, find maps that require CustomSpawnFix and fill U= fields like in this example:
H=(M="KF-SaarV7",P=9,S=5,G=,U="CustomSpawnFix.CustomSpawnFixMut")
  • If some of the maps are missing from MapVoteHistory.ini - either play on them first or add them here manually.
